Peek inside our Mallorca suitcase

08.10.18

Whenever we book a trip, we instantly start visualizing what our vacation wardrobe will look like, and usually, it's inspired by the destination: bold colors for Mexico, The Talented Mr Ripley-inspired pieces for Italy, denim cut offs and effortless linen dresses for balmy Australia and breezy cover-ups when escaping to St Barths. To us, it comes down to curation and taking our absolute favorites - think quality over quantity and special pieces that can be styled in different ways. We also like to pack at least two days in advance, let the edit brew, and go back to finalize before zipping it up (this usually when we realize the important items we forgot and throw in just one more dress!).

Read on for what we're taking on our Mallorca getaway...

#1: the perfect sunhat

The first thing we always throw into our suitcase

If you know us, you know there are few things in life we love more than great sunhats. This crochet weave style featuring a simple caramel band is perfect for those balmy August days. What's better, it's oh-so-easy to photograph and the open weave makes for the most beautiful shadow play.

#2: chic onepiece

Not great for tan lines but oh-so flattering

Tan lines are offensive, we know, and when we we're not wearing this perfect one piece we'll be topless to even them out. This uber chic 70s inspired onepiece is as minimal as they come - featuring a flattering square front and cross back design. Perfect for a post-lunch swim at Ca's Patro March!

#3: printed cami

The sweetest floral print

We love how easy and versatile this lightweight cami is. Whether it's paired down with denim shorts for day-time exploring or styled with a wrap skirt for a sexy evening look, this will be our go-to in the island. It's flirty, fun, and feminine.

#4: mini basket

We can't get over how cute this one is

No two basket bags are created equal and we adore this unique find we discovered during our travels in the Bahamas. From a Caribbean island to the Balearics, we plan on carrying this teeny tiny piece everywhere we go - it's petite, but large enough for our essentials.

#5: wrap skirt

Classic, always

A wrap skirt that doubles as a sarong? Yes please! The wrap-style silhouette of this skirt is ultra flattering. We love it layered over a black onepiece - it's playful, feminine, and comfortable enough for vacation adventures. We'll be wearing it with mules for effortless cool.
